On: Achieving balance

By |2024-02-05T23:34:10-05:00February 5th, 2024|English|

Balance is…

  • being indulgent and disciplined
  • being strong and vulnerable
  • being brave and cautious
  • being selfish and generous
  • being flexible and committed
  • being playful and working hard

Balance is not, Dear One, achieved by standing still on the point in the middle.

On: How to get to know yourself better

By |2024-02-05T00:09:12-05:00February 4th, 2024|English|

Do you want to know one of the best ways for you to get to know yourself better, Dear One?

Slow down, take your time, put in the effort, and get to know them better.

Find out who they really are. Find out what they really feel, think, and believe. Find out why they do what they do and why they say what they say.

Get personal.

By taking the time to get to know the real them, instead of spending your time interacting with some superficial version of who you think they are, you will  be tapping  into a wealth of information about yourself.

Your feelings about them, your reactions to them, your response to the real them, will reveal a lot to you about the real you.

They are worth the extra time and effort of getting to know better, Dear One, if you believe that you are.

On: Reducing limits

By |2024-02-03T23:38:18-05:00February 3rd, 2024|English|

Don’t worry so much, Dear One, about trying to figure out ahead time what might, could, or will happen next.

Because the truth is that you’ll never know for sure.
And that kind of thinking will not save you, keep you safe, or on track anyway.

The only function that it really serves is to limit you.

And for where you are right now, Dear One, the fewer limits that you put on your possibilities, the better off  you will be!

So what should you do instead?
The answer to that question is right here.

^^

On: Being alive

By |2024-02-02T23:44:46-05:00February 2nd, 2024|English|

Living is choosing, Dear One.

Your life is the choices you make.

So, what are you going to choose to think about, focus on, create, say, write, repeat, do, consume, accept, reject, hate, love, or believe today?

What kind of life are you going to choose for yourself, today?

On: Bad habits

By |2024-02-02T00:35:06-05:00February 2nd, 2024|English|

We realize that habits can be convenient. Dear One, real time savers, but if it didn’t serve you well yesterday, or the day before that, or the day before that, what makes you think it is going to serve you well today?

Unhappiness really is much too high a price to pay for the illusion of convenience that comes with thoughtlessly maintaining unhealthy patterns.

We just thought you should know.

On: Hand holding

By |2024-01-31T22:58:55-05:00January 31st, 2024|English|

Take notice of the hands that you are holding onto ,Dear One, the connections that you choose to maintain.

Are they helping you up or holding you down?  Are they pulling you back or encouraging you forward?  Are they leading you in the direction that best serves you or in the direction that best serves them?

If you are not sure, Dear One, let go for a moment or two (or three or four if you need to) and find out.

It’s important that you know.

On: The key

By |2024-01-31T01:11:19-05:00January 31st, 2024|English|

We can feel your impatience, Dear One, your restlessness, your desire to move on from where you are now, to someplace new, to where you want to be.

We can see you searching, looking, trying, struggling, experimenting, stumbling around looking for the key to the door that you think will get you there.

Well, we’ve got some bad news for you.  No matter where you look, no matter how hard you try, no matter much you visualize it, no matter how much you want it, you are never going to find that key, Dear One.  Ever.

Why?

Because it doesn’t exist.

The door is already open.

All you need to do is walk through it.

On: What you put into it

By |2024-01-30T00:07:16-05:00January 30th, 2024|English|

Create from an angry, frustrated, stressed out, fearful place, Dear One, and no matter how hard you work, how hard you try, how good your intentions are, the very best that you are ever going to be able to do is create more of the same.

You can’t make an apple pie with peaches.

Make sense?

On: You’re late

By |2024-01-29T01:27:38-05:00January 29th, 2024|English|

If you are already running late, Dear One, if you are already behind schedule, rushing, hurrying, being scattered, frantic, angry, short tempered and stressed out about it, is not going to fix it, undo it, or magically make it better in any way, shape or form.

But calming down, collecting yourself, being grounded, centered, and fully present and aware when you arrive just might.

On: Memories

By |2024-01-28T00:02:34-05:00January 28th, 2024|English|

Memories are not necessarily a true reflection of the events of your past, Dear One.  They are more like a picture/a snap shot created in your mind to support a current feeling about an event from your past.

Memories can be beautiful, but they can be damaging as well.  Especially when you assign more value or truth to them then you do the present moment.

You can learn from your memories, but be wary of them as well.  It is the present moment, the now, that has the greatest influence on how you remember something.   Keep this in mind when you attach meaning to an event from long ago.  When you do, more often that not, is it simply a  way of putting a current feeling into a familiar context.

Be wary of giving too much energy to your memories Dear One, as your recollection of them are really much more about the present then you would think.
