On: A reason not to give up
Only an open heart can heal, Dear One.
Only an open heart can heal, Dear One.
There is nothing more potent, Dear One, more valuable, than the discovery of a great idea.
There is no more powerful point of attraction in the universe.
If you are fortunate enough to discover one, don’t make the mistake of ignoring it, of passing it by.
Act on it.
What makes an idea great?
You deciding it is so.
If the thought that you are thinking right now does not feel good to you, Dear One, pick a new one.
Immediately.
Forgive yourself, Dear One.
Let it go.
Take a deep breath in, let it out.
Smile.
And begin again.
Act courageously today, Dear One.
Do something that you have been afraid to do. Say something that you have been afraid to say. Decide not to let the fear of rejection, embarrassment, or failure stop you.
And at the end of the day, regardless of the outcome, celebrate the fact that you did it!
It is so very easy to get lost, Dear One, or to feel disconnected from your source of well-being.
And it is so very easy to become frustrated by this feeling of loss and disconnection.
But you should know that it is also so very easy to reconnect again.
There is an equal amount of effort required to lose a feeling of connection as is required to gain one.
Try not to get too caught up, discouraged, or intimidated by the effort that you think it will take to get back on track – as little effort is required when you choose to simply reconnect in the present moment.
How little?
As much as it takes for you to change your mind.
You should know, Dear One, that as soon as you stop feeding it with your thoughts, acknowledging it with your attention, strengthening it with your words, and telling anyone that will listen about how much you wish it wasn’t so, that which no longer serves you, that which you longer want, will begin to go away.
Keep choosing what you know, what’s familiar, what’s safe, what’s predictable, and you will continue to get more of what you’ve already got, Dear One.
If more of the same is what you want, keep right on doing what you are doing, thinking what you are thinking, feeling what you are feeling. Keep your mindset, your beliefs, your intentions, exactly as they are.
However, if what you want is something different, something more, something new, something adventurous, something unexpected, you are going to have to trust, Dear One – trust us, trust yourself, trust the universe, trust in something or someone enough to allow yourself to choose differently this time.
Which would you prefer?
Choose your answers wisely, Dear One, because once you do, you are going to have to live with them, you are going to have to live in the reality that they create as a result.
The next time you are feeling lonely, alone, or disconnected, Dear One, instead of feeling badly about it, instead of focusing on those feelings of loneliness, isolation, or sadness, which will only serve to exacerbate them, use it as an opportunity to grant yourself permission to use that time to go within, to listen to your heart, and connect.
When you do, you just may get a glimpse of the eternal, sacred, divinity that lives within you, that connects you to everyone and every other living thing in your world.
And once you see that, once you are able to feel it, even if only for a second, it will be difficult for you to ever feel lonely, alone or disconnected again.
