What do you want to know about your soul’s agenda?

All questions submitted will be answered and all responses will be shared as a daily blog post for the benefit of us all. No names or personally identifiable information will be included in the post.

    On: Starting your day

It would be absurd Dear One, to begin your day by making a choice to intentionally create negative experiences for yourself.

    Right?

And yet, that is exactly what you are doing when you start off your day with negative expectations.

    On: Defining beauty

To say that beauty is measured by how one looks – is like saying that intelligence is measured by how one smells.

Your eyes are not the determinate of beauty Dear One, your heart is.

True beauty is not about how you look – it is about how you see.

    On: Creating happiness

    Are you happy Dear One?

If your answer is yes, great!

We hope that you allow yourself to fully enjoy every moment of it.

But if your answer is no, you should know that feeling badly about it, being angry about it, resenting it, hating it, beating yourself up about it, raging against it, complaining about it, blaming yourself for it (or anyone else for that matter), is not going to do anything to improve the situation in any positive way.

So if that is what you have been trying up until this point, you should know that it  might be time for you to take a different approach.

    On: Faking it

Don’t help because you think that you should Dear One – because you think that someone is watching – because you think it is the right thing to do – because you feel pity, fear, guilt or obligation.

Help because you want to.  Help because it feels good to you to do so.

Remember, what you put out there is what you get back.

    • If you put out insincerity – insincerity is what you will get back.
    • If you put out resentment – resentment is what you will get back.
    • If you put out bitterness – bitterness is what you will get back.

If you don’t mean it Dear One – do yourself a favor, and don’t do it.

    However…

    •  If you put out hope –
    • If you put out generosity –
    • If you put out compassion –
    • If you put out joy  –
    • If you put out love –

    Well, you get the idea.

    Don’t fake it Dear One.

Choose a different attitude instead, and then help.

    On: The price of admission

Sometimes a little turbulence can be the price of admission Dear One.

When you begin to tread a new path, one that you have never taken before, know that the ground might feel rough, bumpy or uneven to you at first.  It may continue to feel that way until you cross over it a couple of times, clear out a path, make an impression, and become familiar with your new surroundings.

Bumps in the road do not mean that you are going the wrong way.  They do not mean that you have chosen incorrectly, made a wrong turn or that you need to go back.   Sometimes they are just the experiences that come along with going somewhere you have never gone before.

If the road gets bumpy, when you are traveling a path that you felt guided to travel, don’t doubt Dear One, trust, get excited, because the turbulence that you are feeling may very well be the entry point into someplace new.  You just may be on the verge of discovering the very thing that you have been searching for, that you have been asking for.

How do you know for sure?

You listen to your heart, you trust your instincts, you have faith in yourself and all that brought you to this point.

And then, if you should feel so inclined, you leap.

    On: Why try again?

There is no such thing as impossible Dear One. There are only those things that you have not yet seen come to pass.

There is a huge difference between never and not yet.

Practice saying “not yet” instead of “never” and everything changes.

    Never closes doors.

Not yet blows them wide open.

    On: Absolutes

The trouble Dear One, is that you think that you live in a world of absolutes. And you don’t. The world does not work that way. There are no absolutes in life – except one.

The one thing that you can always absolutely rely on is the fact that you will always have a choice. Always, always, always do you have options, in every single situation. Every one – without fail.

Whenever you feel frustrated, helpless, trapped or as if you are moving in the wrong direction – stop and remind yourself that there are choices available to you in that moment. If the thoughts that you are thinking are not bringing you joy – choose different ones. If the company that you are keeping is not pleasurable for you – change it. If you have set standards for yourself that you consistently find yourself falling short of, and feeling badly about, change them.

It can be just that simple Dear One, if you choose to allow it to be so.

    On: What matters most?

It’s not about tomorrow, or what’s next, or what was, or what may be Dear One.  It is about right now, as it is, in this moment.

In this moment  – you have the ability to make a different choice, to have a different experience, to love a little more, to be a little kinder, to flourish, to be brave, to take a risk, to let it go, to live.  Now, in this moment –  you can choose to be confident – you can choose to take care of yourself – you can choose to impact the lives of others – you can choose to trust and try and trust and try again.  For it is the only thing that is real Dear One.  Now.

You keep forgetting and we will keep finding ways to remind you that now is the only moment that matters.  When you come to believe this, in your heart and in  your head and in  your soul, then you will be home.  The desire to be anywhere but exactly where you are will dissipate.  All questions will dissolve and you will find peace, contentment and satisfaction right where you are.

    On: Freedom

Freedom is a state of mind Dear One.  It is an attitude, a feeling, a way of life.

It is not something that you have to wait to be granted, work to achieve, or receive permission to be.

    You are free Dear One.

    • Free to make up your mind about anything, anyway that you want.
    • Free to change your mind about anything, anytime that you want.
    • Free to experience the world from any perspective that you choose.

We implore you to remember that freedom is a state of mind, an emotion, a lens through which you view your life.

Freedom is not something that is granted by anyone else.

It is something that you claim for yourself.

You and you alone decide when you are going to choose to believe this, to embrace it, to live it, and to be free.

    On: Pushing through

Toughing it out, pushing through, trying harder, sacrificing more, working smarter, powering on, or fighting the good fight will never be a more efficient or effective approach for helping you to get there, for helping you to achieve your goals Dear One, as getting happy will.
